CAP Has A New Home! 520 NW Davis Street

Portland, OR | March 11, 2016 - After an extensive search, we are happy to announce that CAP has found a new home! Beginning on July 1, 2016, CAP will occupy nearly 16,000 square feet at 520 NW Davis Street in Old Town Portland.

“Over our 30-year history, CAP has grown considerably–from a two-person staff to more than 65 employees, from a budget of $100,000 to nearly $7 million. Signing this 10-year lease shows our commitment to remaining a vibrant part of the downtown community,” said CAP Executive Director Tyler TerMeer.

“The new location offers an easily accessible location for clients, volunteers, and staff and gives CAP the capacity to create a dedicated space for clients to access a variety of services, including housing case management, employment programs, peer-to-peer support, and more,” said TerMeer.

CAP anticipates that the new service center will have expanded hours and the capacity to offer clients more opportunity to access the vital services and help they need to stay engaged in care to treat their HIV. For people living with HIV, getting and staying in medical care is crucial not only to their health, but to limiting the virus’s transmission.

CAP’s HIV and sexually transmitted disease testing and wellness center for gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals, Pivot, will remain in its current location at 209 SW 4th Avenue. More information about Pivot hours and services can be found at www.pivotpdx.org.
