Your Generosity Can Make a Difference
As we approach the HIV Long-Term Survivors Day, we invite you to join us in supporting individuals living with HIV through the inspiring story of Andy. This remarkable man embodies resilience and hope, illustrating the profound impact your gift can have.
Meet Andy
When Andy first came to CAP at the age of 30, he was navigating a complex set of challenges. He was unhoused, managing multiple illnesses — including HIV and substance use — and facing significant debt. At the time, he wasn’t sure if a stable path forward was even possible. Andy’s journey took place through CAP’s Housing Services, where he found the care and community he needed to rebuild his life.
Having secure housing, access to care, and community allowed Andy to have a stable life. He began creating a positive impact in the community with work of advocacy and engagement. After navigating our services, Andy transformed from someone seeking support to someone leading it.
About a year ago, Andy joined our staff as the Aging Well Program Assistant for CAP’s Aging Well Program, which helps older adults living with HIV find hope, connection, and belonging. He draws on his own experiences to support participants as they navigate the challenges of aging with HIV.
Success stories like Andy’s are only possible when we have a reliable circle of supporters to lean on. We would love to welcome you back into that circle today.
